One Leg Stand Test
With a little more than half of one leg stand tests being accurate, it is important to learn the facts about the field sobriety test you have just been administered and how to fight your charges of
DUI. The one leg stand test is a common sobriety test that law enforcement will ask for a driver to submit after the officer believes that the driver is breaking the law by driving under the influence.
In most cases, the one leg stand test will be administered in addition to the walk and turn test. The officer will ask the individual to stand on one foot with the other raised about six inches off the ground. While performing this task, the driver must be able to count aloud until asked to stop. Officers and other law enforcement officials usually have the suspect count aloud for 30 seconds.
